This is a common on going misconception that the deep web and dark web are nothing but same but unfortunately,they aren’t same !!

What is that internet that we surf (a general user)?

Normally any user is able to access only are tiny or just a surface part of total web pages by or through search engines like Google,Yahoo,Wikipedia,etc.But its just a 4% of Total web.The main thing is its commonly accessible by any one easily No Special kind of Arrangement (browser,connection,permission)required.This kinda network (web)use to do very regular kind of things like Surf over social media,News,Music,etc.

Early estimates suggested that the deep web is 400 to 550 times larger than the surface web. However, since more information and sites are always being added, it can be assumed that the deep web is growing exponentially at a rate that cannot be quantified.” Besides the Deep web is Publicly Accessible with special setup (Tor/Tails,I2P,freenet)and also we get many links from hiddenwiki.

What is the Dark Web (Darknet)?

The Dark web (also called Dark Net) is again the subset of the Deep web.Basically Dark net is a very small part of Deep web that is require special access.The Dark Net is web that contents that exist on Darknets and overlay networks but it uses the public internet which require a special type Software (Again Tor/Tails,I2P,freenet),Configuration,and many a times Authorization to Access.Deep Web is not only not indexed.Now the thing why it is know as Dark web because is often associated with criminal activity of various degrees,also like silk Road, including buying and selling drugs, pornography, gambling, etc. While the Dark Web is definitely used for those things more than the standard Internet or the Deep Web, there are many legitimate uses for the Dark Web as well. So thats is It!!!
